The modality of Acupuncture is recognized as effective for over 80 diseases, symptoms, or conditions by the World Health Organization. Using very thin needles to activate specific points on the body, Acupuncture requires licensing and graduation from an accredited school in the state of Washington.

Liz Walters Syreen received her degree from the Northwest Institute of Oriental Medicine in 1999 and was awarded Diplomate of Acupuncture status from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She holds a postgraduate certificate in Chinese Herbal Medicine from Bastyr University, and a Qi Gong certification from the Peng Jiu Ling Qi Gong Health Centre in Vancouver, BC.
